ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to call for the records and quash the proceedings before the Sub Divisional Magistrate and Revenue Divisional Officer, Egmore Division by issuing summons in a1/1269/2016 dated 24.10.2016 in FIR Cr.No.1130 of 2016 pending before F2 Egmore Police Station under Section 174, Cr.P.C.
It is seen that on the complaint given by the petitioner to F2 Egmore Police Station, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Egmore Division, Chetpet, has initiated enquiry and has issued summons to the petitioner to appear on 09.11.2016 for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
giving her version of the case, challenging which, the petitioner is before this Court.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has no faith in the enquiry conducted by the Revenue Divisional Officer and she has also filed an application seeking CBI enquiry.
It is alleged by the petitioner that her son was chased by the police and that he fell into the Cooum river, in connection with which, she has lodged the aforesaid complaint.
In the considered opinion of this Court, the enquiry is being conducted by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Egmore Division, Chetpet. This Court will not interfere when only summons is being issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer in exercise of statutory powers of enquiry. The petitioner is directed to appear before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Egmore Division, Chetpet and cooperate in the enquiry so that the enquiry is conducted expeditiously.
