By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the owner of 3 acres of land in S.No.122/1 of Ko.Kothanoor Village in Cuddalore District vide registered sale deed bearing Document No.2081 of 2013 dated 16.12.2013, registered on the file of the Sub Registrar of Nallur and he submitted an on-line application dated 24.02.2016 to the respondent for transfer of patta and despite the receipt of the same, no orders have been passed and hence, came forward to file this Writ Petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Kannan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation/application dated 24.02.2016 in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
