ORDER

Heard Mr.N.Subbarayalu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader accepting notice for respondents 1 and 2 and with their consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioner is the Vice President of a Village Panchayat and it appears that he had given complaints against the 3rd respondent, who is the President of the Village Panchayat, apart from other complaints against the 3rd respondent by the Public. These complaints were taken cognizance and the District Collector, Kancheepuram issued appropriate orders vide Proceedings dated 09.02.2015. Assistant Director of Village Panchayats, by Proceedings dated 27.06.2015, called upon the 3rd respondent to give his explanation for the various allegations/charges which are 8 in number. The petitioner would state that though such notice was issued, the 3rd respondent has not submitted any reply till date nor the authorities have proceeded further in accordance with law. Therefore, the petitioner seeks for issuance of appropriate direction to the authorities to conclude the proceedings. 3.Since this Court is not inclined to go into the merits of the allegations made by the petitioner as against the 3rd respondent, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with. 4.

In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the allegations made by the petitioner as against the 3rd respondent, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to conclude the proceedings, pursuant to the notice dated 27.06.2015 and submit appropriate report before the 1st respondent for necessary action, if action has not already been initiated. The above direction shall be complied with, after notice to the 3rd respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
