Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 3 and 4 to sponsor the name of the petitioner with Employment Registration No. 840/95 dt 21.7.1995 Changed as M.12029/2005 to the 1st respondent for the recruitment to the post of Graduate Assistant under the 2nd respondent and thereby direct the respondents 1 and 2 to select and appoint the petitioner as Graduate Assistant based on his Employment Registration and by verifying his certificate for the direct recruitment of Graduate Assistants (Backlog vacancies) Telugu through employment Registration seniority for the year 2010-2011. Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned.

This Writ Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to direct respondents 3 and 4 to sponsor the name of the petitioner, for being recruited to the post of Graduate Assistant, under the 2nd respondent, and further direct respondents 1 and 2 to select and appoint the petitioner, as a Graduate Assistant, based on the registration of his name, in the District Employment Office, at Hosur.

3. At this stage of the hearing of the Writ Petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that the recruitment to the post of Graduate Assistant, for the year 2010-2011, had been completed, based on the certificate verification, held on 23.6.2012. Therefore, the relief sought in the Writ Petition has become infructuous.

4. In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, this Court is of the view that the relief prayed for, by the petitioner, in the present Writ Petition, cannot be granted, at this stage. Hence, the Writ Petition stands dismissed, as infructuous. No costs. M.P.No.1 of 2012 is closed.
