By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

2. The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a 1/4

Mandamus, directing the respondent to disburse the admitted liability of Earned Leave Surrender amount of Rs.27,261/- with interest amount at the rate of 9% on the delayed payment from the respective accrual dates payable to her deceased husband within the stipulated time to be fixed by this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's husband-S.Kittuswamy was working as Superintendent in the Respondent-Transport Corporation and after rendering 29 years of service, he retired from service on 31.03.2014. It is the submission of the petitioner that after his retirement, he died on 15.11.2020 and thereafter, the petitioner has given a representation on 02.06.2025 to the respondent claiming Earned Leave Surrender amount and such representation is pending with the respondent.

5. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2/4

respondent would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation, within a reasonable time.

6. In such view of the submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2025 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
