This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and final report in Crime No.03 of 2014 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2..The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the FIR was registered as a man missing case and that a closure report was filed before the concerned Court as 'Undetected'.

3.In the considered view of this Court, a man missing case can never be closed as undetected and that is only a stage in the investigation and the respondent police has to necessarily follow the guidelines of this Court in K.Sukumari vs. The Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District, Virudhunagar and Others reported in [2018 2 LW Crl 636].
