The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to settle the Gratuity due to the petitioner for the services rendered by her for 8 years from 26.03.2010 to 24.04.2018 forthwith together with interest for the delayed payment by considering her representation dated 25.04.2018, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the arguments advanced on either side. 3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Humanities (Chemistry), in the second respondent College and on her request, the petitioner was relieved from the College on 24.04.2018, however, the Gratuity amount has not yet been settled. In this regard, the petitioner made representation on 25.04.2018 to the respondents and since there was no response, the petitioner issued notices dated 09.02.2019 and 26.02.2019 through her counsel to the second respondent and since the same has not yet been considered, has come forward with this petition. 4.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2018 and to pass appropriate orders within a stipulated time frame. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2018, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
