The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 19.08.2022 for the offences punishable under Section 4(1)(a), 4(1-A) of TNP Act, in Crime No.352 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 19.08.2022, when the police conducted a search, the petitioner was found in possession of 28 bottles of TASMAC liquor. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Therefore, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner was found in possession of

28 bottles of TASMAC liquor. He would also submit that there are 7 previous cases pending as against the petitioner. Therefore, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. The previous cases against the petitioner are listed hereunder:- S.No PS Crime No.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and perused the materials available on record.

6. Taking into consideration the facts of the case, the submissions made by the learned counsel, and also taking note of the fact that the petitioner has got 7 previous cases as against him, this Court is

not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
