These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed seeking to enlarge the petitioner on bail in the Crime Nos.138 & 66 of 2022 on the file of the respective respondents/Police.

2. The case of the prosecution in Crime No.138 of 2022 is that on 06.07.2022, while the respondent Police was on their routine patrol duty, the petitioner along with the other accused were found making preparations for committing robbery and weapons such as knife and log were recovered from them. Hence the complaint.

3. The case of the prosecution in Crime No.66 of 2022 is that on 02.08.2022, the petitioner, in inebriated condition drove his auto in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against the Head Constable, who was on duty, caused injuries. Hence the complaint.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and these two cases have been foisted against the petitioner in order to detain him under Act 14. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner is a habitual offender and there are eight previous cases against him. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. The previous cases against the petitioner are tabulated hereunder:- S.No PS Crime No.

6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

7. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and taking note of the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and having 8 previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

8. Accordingly, these Criminal Original Petitions stand dismissed at present.
