By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner to revoke the order of suspension passed by the 2nd respondent in Pro.Na.Ka.No.Thi.1/2050/2016, dated 28.06.2016, in the light of his appeal, dated 12.07.2016, and to pass orders therein within a time frame.
3. The petitioner was appointed as Panchayat Secretary of Kuppichipalayam Village, Mallasamudram Block, on 16.11.2011. While so, the petitioner was placed under suspension, on the ground that he demanded and accepted bribe of Rs.5,000/-. According to the petitioner, the alleged complaint lodged against him is not correct. Seeking to revoke the order of suspension and to pay the subsistence allowance, the petitioner has made a representation, through proper channel, to the competent authority, viz., District Collector, Namakkal District, on 12.07.2016. But, till date, there is no response. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the relief stated
supra.
4. Mr.M.Ravi, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.07.2016, and to pass appropriate orders.
5. Mr.P.Senthilvel, the learned Government Advocate, who took notice on behalf of the 1st respondent, has got no serious objection in directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.07.2016 and to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law.
6. Considering the limited request made by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.07.2016, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. paa Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.
