ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to issue non traceable certificate in Crime No.378 of 2019 on the file of the respondent for missing Pulzar 220 Black Colour bike in Registration No.TN 02 AX 9218. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had lost his Pulzar Black Colour bike in Registration No.TN 02 AX 9218 on 25.04.2019. Hence, he lodged a complaint on 26.04.2019 before the respondent police. The respondent police registered the case in Crime No.378 of 2019.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date, the bike has not been traced by the respondent police and there is absolutely no progress in the investigation. When the petitioner made an insurance claim, the claim has not been settled on the ground that the FIR is still pending with the respondent police and the petitioner should obtain a non traceable certificate from the respondent police.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondent.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to investigate the case effectively and take action in accordance with law and if in case, the bike is not able to be traced, grant a certificate to that effect, to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. This Criminal Original petition is disposed of with the above directions.
