ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the Respondent to release the outstanding payment to the tune of Rs.38,69,620 /- for the service rendered by petitioner for a period from October 2020 to December 2020, March 2021 to July 2021 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 10.07.2024.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is a Proprietor of M/s.Vimasha Associate engaged in the business of running rental service and car lease business. While being so, during Covid 19, the Greater Chennai Corporation had taken various measures to prevent Covid 19 and one of the measures that the deployed vehicles to transport Covid 19 patients and health care provides between their homes, screening camps and treatment centre. The vehicles were hired from the petitioner for those uses in which, the petitioner was paid some amount and there is due to the tune of Rs.38,69,620/-.

4. Though the petitioner repeatedly submitted representations to disburse the said amount, it was not considered so far. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to consider the claim made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders to disburse the balance amount for the service rendered by the petitioner for a period from October 2020 to December 2020, March 2021 to July 2021, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
