O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned order passed in A.No.1/2024 dated 27.05.2024 by the respondent and for a consequential direction to the respondent to permit the petitioner to do his service as Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel at the District Legal Services Authority, Cuddalore.

2. The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was appointed as the Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel at District Legal Services Authority, Cuddalore and due to pendency of criminal case against the petitioner in S.C.No.29 of 2022 on the file of the Sub Court, Panruti, he was terminated from contractual post. Challenging the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if this Court permits the petitioner to make a fresh application after disposal of the criminal case in S.C.No.29 of 2022 before the District Legal Services Authority, Cuddalore.

4. Heard the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner.

Considering the limited request made by the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without interfering with the impugned order dated 27.05.2024 passed in A.No.1 of 2024 by the respondent, permits the petitioner to make a fresh application after disposal of the criminal case in S.C.No.29 of 2022 on the file of the Sub Court, Panruti, before the District Legal Services Authority, Cuddalore. If such application is filed by the petitioner, the District Legal Services Authority, Cuddalore, is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
