O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondent herein to consider the representation dated 03.04.2025 made by the petitioners.
2. By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

It is submitted by learned counsel for petitioners that petitioners submitted representation on 03.04.2025 for issuance of patta in their name after rectifying the survey number as 23/8 instead of 23/6 by enclosing 11 documents to substantiate their case, however, the said representation was not yet considered by respondent. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. In reply, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents would submit that petitioners have not taken out any online application. If the petitioners take out online application and pays the necessary fee, the same would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioners.

In view of the limited relief that is prayed, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with following directions: i) There shall be a direction to petitioners to submit online application to concerned respondent and pay necessary fee for issuance of patta within a period of four weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy.
ii) On receipt of such payment, the concerned respondent shall consider the application and pass appropriate orders within
a period of eight weeks thereafter, after issuing notice and affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioners and any other interested parties including rival claimants, if any.
iii) Though facts have been set out in affidavit, in view of the limited relief that is sought to be granted, I do not propose to examine the same, lest it may influence the authority. The authority shall independently consider the facts and law set out in the application and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law including but not limited to the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act and Rules.
iv) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any view with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of petitioners and all other interested parties are left open.
6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
