This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent-police to file the final report in Crime No.58 of 2016 on the file of the Umarabad Police Station, Ambur Subdivision.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, investigation in Crime No.58 of 2016 is pending before the respondent police.

4. The respondent-police is directed to complete the investigation expeditiously, and file a Final Report or a closure Report as the case may be, under due intimation to the petitioner/de-facto complainant.
