ORDER

The petitioner has applied for an electricity connection and seeks a direction to the 4threspondent to consider her application. 2.Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, the learned Standing Counsel for TNEB, on behalf of the respondents, takes notice and makes a statement, based on instruction, that the petitioner's application was cancelled by the 4th respondent on 19.07.2023. The cancellation was due to a discrepancy between the name of the applicant and the tax receipts he had provided. Additionally, the petitioner also seeks a commercial service connection, which requires few other formalities to be completed. 3.This Court acknowledges the statement made by the learned counsel for 2/4

the respondents.

4.Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was not served with notice about the cancellation.

5.Heard Mr.G.Suguraman, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 6.This court determines that, for the present, the petitioner shall make a fresh application to the 4th respondent, including all necessary particulars. Upon receipt of the fresh application, the 4th respondent shall provide the petitioner an opportunity of being heard in the eventuality of he entertaining any doubts about granting electricity connection.
