This Sub Application has been filed seeking to reopen the contempt petition in Cont.P.No.2406 of 2024 and punish the respondent for wilfully and wantonly violating the order of this Court dated 03.10.2024 in Cont.P.No.2406 of 2024.

2. This Court vide order dated 06.02.2024 in W.P.No.2534 of 2024, directed the respondent to conclude the departmental proceedings pending as against the petitioner and pass final orders in accordance with law, within a period of three months. Since the same has not been complied, the petitioner has filed contempt petition in Cont.P.No.2406 of 2024, which was also closed by directing the respondent to disburse the terminal benefits to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks. However, the said terminal benefits are not disbursed to the petitioner. Hence, he filed the present Sub-Application.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy) appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent has settled a sum of Rs.56,92,998/- to the petitioner and in this regard he has submitted a report dated 02.12.2025.
