The impugned order of the first respondent herein in Letter No.16432/Pol.VIII/2021-13 dated 29.01.2022, is put under challenge in the present Writ Petition. Further, the petitioner Foundation seeks a direction to the first respondent to consider the claim made in the representation dated 16.02.2021 with regard to issue of additional compensation and provide government employment to the victims' legal heirs, who suffered permanent disability & loss of earning capacity, due to the assault, torture, application of electrical shock on account of various inhuman atrocities made by JSTF (Joint Special Task Force).
2. Heard Mr.R.Sankarasubbu, learned counsel for the petitioner Foundation and Mr.P.Kumaresan, learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the first respondent as well as Ms.M.P.Jaisha, learned counsel for the second respondent.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner Foundation submitted that the petitioners are the victims of the Joint Special Task Force (JSTF) of the Veerappan's Assassination case, for which benefits have been granted by the Government through G.O.Ms.No.928, Home (Police-VIII) Department. However, this petition has been filed for claiming higher amount of compensation for the victims.
4. The learned Additional Advocate General submitted that the subject matter came before the Hon'ble First Bench of this Court in W.P.No.21444 of 2024 and the same is pending. He further submitted that as per the orders of this Court, the first respondent herein had complied with the directions in regard to the additional compensation for the victims, which was accepted by the Court on 21.04.2025 and the order was reserved in W.P.No.21444 of 2024. He contended that the petitioner without disclosing all the above facts
have come up with the present case for grant of relief as stated in the prayer.
5. Considering the fact that the subject issue has been pending before the Hon'ble First Bench of this Court, the petitioner is directed to ventilate all his grievances before the concerned Bench. In view of the same, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
