J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) The claim of the petitioner for reconsideration of the punishment imposed on him in the year 2003 was rejected by the Management. The Writ Court rebuked the challenge on the ground that the very representation was made only in the year 2019 that is after 16 years.

2. Mr.N.A.Nassir Hussain, learned counsel appearing for the appellant would contend that while the prayer of the appellant in the earlier Writ Petition in WP No.27863 of 2019, where he sought for a Mandamus was to dispose of the Appeal filed by him and not to dispose of the representation dated 09.09.2019.

3. The learned Single Judge has pointed out there is nothing to show that there was an Appeal pending before the Authorities, as claimed in the representation dated 09.09.2019. Therefore, we are unable to countenance the submission of the learned counsel that there was no delay on the part of the appellant in making a representation. Even on merits, we find that the 2/4

punishment imposed was not a very major punishment and it was only cut in increment.

4. Hence, we see no reason to interfere with the order of the learned Single Judge, the Writ Appeal fails and it is accordingly dismissed. (R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.)
