The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.07.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa) & 4(1-A) of Tamilnadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.127 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 17.07.2022, on receipt of secret information, when the respondent police conducted a search, the petitioner was found in possession of 315 litres of ID Arrack and they were seized by the respondent police. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Therefore, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner was found in possession of 315 litres of ID Arrack and they were seized by the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

rgi respondent police. He would further submit that there are 30 previous cases of similar nature as against the petitioner. Therefore, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel, and also taking note of the fact that there are 30 previous cases of similar nature as against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
