Prayer:- This Criminal Revision has been filed under Section 397 r/w 401 (1) of Cr.P.C., to set aside the order dated 20.05.2019 made in Crl.MP.No.5586/2019 in C.C.No.6145/2018 on the file of the XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore and discharge the petitioner from the case filed against him. ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this criminal revision petition and has also made an endorsement in the petition to that effect. However, he would pray that a direction may be issued to the learned trial Judge to complete the trial within a specified period.

In view of the submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal Revision Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.

The learned Trial Judge is directed to complete the pre-charge proceedings within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and to complete the trial within a period of four months thereafter. It is made clear that the parties shall scrupulously co-operate for the progress of trial.
