Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2023 and 26.06.2023 in respect of the necessity of amend the anti-corruption and economic offence related laws at per present situation and for stringent action as soon as possible.

ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, seeks withdrawal of the writ petition.
2. The petitioner deposited a sum of Rs.1 lakh pursuant to the orders passed by this Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the amount.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, graciously submits that a part of the said amount, i.e., Rs.25,000/- be donated to the Madras Society for the Protection of Children, Old Washermanpet, Chennai - 21.
4. In view of the aforesaid, the Registry shall forward a cheque of Rs.25,000/- to the Madras Society for the Protection of Children. The remaining sum of Rs.75,000/- shall be paid to the petitioner.
5. In the light of that, the writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. There will be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (P.D.A., J.) 25.08.2023 Index :
