O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 02.11.2012 and the reminder dated 20.12.2012 seeking findings of the inquiry on merits, within a time stipulated.

2. Heard Mr.L.Chandrakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Srinivasan, learned Special Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has sent a representation dated 02.11.2012 followed by a reminder dated 20.12.2012 which was duly acknowledged by the respondent wherein, he sought for certain material documents including the inquiry report. The learned counsel would further submit that though the respondent had acknowledged the representation, no reply has been given till date and hence, the present writ petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In view of the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, I am of the view that a direction should be given to the respondent, since non-consideration of the petitioner's representation for such a long time amounts to dereliction of their duty.

5. Under such circumstances, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.11.2012 and consequent reminder of the petitioner dated 20.12.2012 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
