PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, praying to issue a direction by directing the respondent to issue Non-Traceable certificate in respect of the missing Sale Deed dated 05.12.2014 registered as Document No.7916 of 2014 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Erode on the petitioner's complaint dated 03.07.2023. This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to issue a 'Non-Traceable Certificate' with respect to the missing Sale Deed dated 05.12.2014 based on the complaint given by the petitioner on 03.07.2023 before the respondent.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the concerned jurisdictional Police is the Erode Town Police Station and it is not the respondent since the original Sale Deed is said to have been lost at Erode bus stand.

3. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to give a fresh complaint to the Inspector of Police, Erode Town Police Station, Erode District and on receipt of the same, the concerned police shall deal with the complaint in line with the circular Memorandum dated 01.04.2022 issued by the Director General of Police.

4. The petitioner is also expected to submit all relevant documents as 2/4

required in the Official Memorandum. On receipt of the complaint, the concerned police shall deal with the complaint and take a final decision within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of the complaint from the petitioner.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
