Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent herein to refer the matter to the competent Court as per Section 8 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997, for enhancement of compensation for land acquired from me in S.No.514/1 measuring a total extent of 4,800 Sq.ft, 1/5
earmarked as Plot Nos.75 and 76 in the approved Layout of "Poonamallee Mannure Vijayam Sowbhagya Co-operative Mahaa Nagar", situated at No.50 of Mannur Village, in Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner land was acquired under the Industrial Purposes Act and no award was passed in terms of Section 7 of the Act. However, the compensation amount was deposited in February 2021 onwards. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents to refer the matter to the competent civil court under Section 8 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997 for enhancement of compensation. However, 2/5
the same was not considered. Hence, this writ petition is filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that, due to pandemic situation the petitioners were not able to made representations in time and it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners representations and pass appropriate orders within a time frame fixed by this court.
4. Considering the limited request made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representations starting from 24.12.2021 onwards and on various dates and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order
