ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representations/complaints dated 24.04.2024 and 09.05.2024 and pass orders.
2. The learned State Government Pleader has placed a communication 2/5
dated 20.08.2024 sent by the District Collector to the learned Additional Government Pleader, wherein it is stated that the petitioner has not appeared for the enquiry on 07.06.2024 and produced the relevant documents before the authority concerned. It is further stated that the petitioner can still appear in person for enquiry and produce the documents supporting his representation and the concerned official will be enquired by the District Collector, Kallakurichi and a report will be submitted.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner undertakes to appear before the District Collector, Kallakurichi for enquiry, on the date fixed by the District Collector, Kallakurichi and produce all the relevant records.
4. In view of the above submissions made by the parties, this Court directs the District Collector, Kallakurichi, to issue notice to the petitioner to appear for the enquiry. The said notice shall be served to the petitioner, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The District Collector shall conduct enquiry and take appropriate decision as 3/5
early as possible, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.
5. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
