ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to modify the date of appointment of the petitioners in regular time scale of pay from 07.12.2012 as found in the order of the third respondent in Se.Mu.No.K2/3275/2012 dated 31.01.2013 to 12.01.2011 and grant them all consequential benefits.

2. Heard Mr.P.Rajendran, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.T.Chezhiyan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioners were working as Night Watchmen in the Adi Dravidar Welfare Hostel in Thiruvannamalai District and they were appointed through Employment Exchange. They were appointed only Page No.2 of 4

after scrutiny of all the required documents. However, they have been paid with a consolidated pay of Rs.850/- per month and later, it was enhanced to Rs.1990/- per month. The petitioners claim that the petitioners were entitled to regular pay from the date of their appointment and they have given various representations to the respondents in this regard.

4. As the respondents have not passed any order so far on the representations made by the petitioners, the respondents are directed to consider the representations of the petitioners and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed. No costs.
