The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to fix the Petitioner's pay in the revised scale of Rs.5200 - 20200 + GP 1900 (ordinary grade) in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.338, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 26.08.2010 with consequential revision in selection and Special Grades and pension and pay the arrears to the petitioners.

2. The case of the petitioners is that they were appointed as a Lift Operator in Government Stanley Hospital, Chennai in the year 1988. The 1st petitioner was appointed under the Physically Challenged quota. The petitioners were awarded 1/2 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Selection Grade in the year 1998 on completion of ten years and Special Grade in the year 2008 on completion of twenty years. The petitioners retired from their services in the years 2017 and 2013 respectively. On 11.08.2016, the petitioners made representations for the purpose of revision of pay scale. However, till date the said representations were not considered. Therefore, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representations dated 11.08.2016, on merits and in accordance with law.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, I am inclined to issue direction to the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the representations dated 11.08.2016 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
