2. The petitioners are the owners of the JCB bearing Registration Nos.TN 19-W-0943, TN 21-J-1265 and TN 20-AS-7898 respectively, which were seized by the respondent on 10.08.2016 on the allegation that the petitioners have engaged in illicit quarrying of mineral.

3. This Court is not inclined to issue any positive directions for release of the vehicle as prayed for by the petitioners. But, since the representation is pending before the respondent, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
