Earlier, this Court by an order dated 02.08.2022 allowed the above Criminal Original Petition with a direction directing the Inspector of Police, CBCID, Chennai to complete the investigation and file final report within a period of three months from the date of that order. Since the said investigation could not be completed within the time stipulated by this court, the petitioners police herein sought for extension of time.

2. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, both learned counsel for petitioners as well as respondent appeared. The learned counsel for petitioners would submit that they are taking earnest efforts to conduct investigation with regard to missing of woman. Hence, the investigation could not be completed within stipulated time and prayed to extend the time granted by this court.

3. Considering the request made by the petitioners police herein, this Court is inclined to extend time for the period of three months to submit final report from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
