Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider and pass orders on petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2015 in order to cleanse the administration of Arulmigu Ponkaliamman Temple, situated at Thalayanallur, Sivagiri village, Erode District. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims to be the devotee of Arulmigu Ponkaliamman Temple situate at Thalayanallur, Sivagiri Village, Erode District and according to him, it is a very ancient temple coming under the control and administration of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Executive Officer of Arulmigu Magudeswarar Temple at Kodumudi, Erode District, is also holding the additional charge as the Executive Officer of the said temple. The petitioner in the form of representation dated 01.06.2015 submitted to the respondent has pointed out very many irregularities and though it was received and acknowledged, the petitioner is yet to be favoured with any kind of response and hence, he came forward to file the present writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Heard the submissions of Mr.Ar.L.Sundaresan, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Mr.K.Rajasekaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader {HR&CE} who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
