O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle the final bill amounts, EMD, Additional Security Deposit (ASD), Performance Security Deposit, for the works executed by the petitioner, covered by Work Orders and other records, along with interest for the delay in payment, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 11.02.2025; 27.02.2025 and 21.03.2025, within a time frame fixed by this court.

2. The petitioner is a registered Contractor engaged in civil works Page No.2 of 6

related to water supply. The petitioner states that he executed number of works for the Municipal Administration, particularly, the 4 th respondent, Peranambut Municipality. The petitioner states that he was issued work order for replacement of old motors in old and new Head Works and replacement of Pumping Main and Distribution Line, at Ward Nos.12, 13, 14 and 15 in Peranambut Municipality through tender, work order for replacement of Madanapalli River Pumping Main and old Head Works, by collecting the damaged pipeline due to flood, at the cost of Rs.9 lakhs, through tender and work order for supply of tables and chairs, in the office of Municipal Council, at an estimated cost of Rs.3 lakhs.

Eventhough the petitioner completed the said works, payments for the said works were not settled including the return of EMD, AMD, Performance Security Deposit, etc., Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents for settlement of bills raised for the said works executed by him. Since no action was taken by the respondents, the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he would restrict his prayer for disposal of the petitioner's representations dated 11.02.2025; 27.02.2025 and 21.03.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this court.

In view of the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner's counsel, a direction is issued to the 4 th respondent, to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 11.02.2025; 27.02.2025 and 21.03.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. In the result, the Writ Petiton is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
