ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent to trace the case bundle, and fix an early date for hearing and pass orders regarding the rightful compensation amount payable to the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel appearing on either side are present.

3. The petitioner has filed a claim petition under the Employee's Compensation Act, before the second respondent in E.C.No.246 of 2016, seeking compensation and it is reported that the case is at the stage of final hearing. At that stage, the case bundle was misplaced in the office of the second respondent/ The Joint Commissioner of Labour-II, for the Employee's Compensation, Chennai. Hence, the petitioner has preferred this Writ Petition with the above said prayer.

4. The learned counsel for the respondent submits that in the event of being any directions passed by this Court, the second respondent would stick to

the said direction and dispose of the case within a stipulated time frame.

5. Heard both sides and perused the records.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the case within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
