O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 05.12.2018 within a time frame after giving reasonable opportunity of personal hearing.

3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined the services of Sri Rangavilas G.S. & W. (Ginning, Spinning & Weaving) Mills, an Unit of National Textile Corporation Limited, a Government of India undertaking on 01.02.1992. While he was working as Assistant Manager - Spinning, on 12.03.2016 an order of suspension was issued to the petitioner by the second respondent. Thereafter enquiry was conducted and vide order dated 19.11.2018, the second respondent imposed upon the petitioner, the punishment of dismissal of service. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed appeal before the first respondent on 05.12.2018, however, the same has not yet been disposed of. Hence, this writ petition.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 05.12.2018 and to dispose of the same, within a stipulated time frame.

5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 05.12.2018, on merits and in accordance with law and to dispose of the same, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
