..Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 02.08.2016 of the petitioner by making survey of the land comprised in S.No.247/2D [Ryotwari Punja land vide patta No.163] situated at No.67, Natham Kariyacherry village, Thirukkazhukundram Taluk, Kancheepuram District owned by the petitioner and his brother K.Dinesh, to lay boundary stones and to transfer the patta in favour of petitioner and his brother.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner claims to be the owner of the land admeasuring to an extent of 6456 sq.ft in New Survey No.247/2D along with the superstructure situate at Natham Kariyacherry village, Thirukkazhukundram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, through a registered Settlement Deed bearing Document No.1848/2016 dated 15.04.2016, registered on the file of the office of the Sub Registrar, Thirukkazhukundram and vide application/representation dated 02.08.2016, the petitioner prayed for survey and measurement of the said property and also for transfer of patta No.67, standing in the name of his grandfather and despite the receipt of the same, no response is forth coming and hence, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.
Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf fo the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to entertain the petitioner's application / representation dated 02.08.2016, if the papers are otherwise in order and give a disposal in accordance with law within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
