PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to include the names of the petitioners in the Revenue Accounts of the Thaiyur Revenue Village towards the extent about 1.22 acres in Survey No.473 (Patta No.383 situated in Thaiyur Revenue Village, Kelambakkam Post, Thirupporur Town and Taluk, Chengalpattu District on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2024.

ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to include the names of petitioners in the Revenue Accounts of Thaiyyur Revenue Village in respect of the properties measuring an extent about 1.22 acres comprised in Survey No.473 (Patta No.383) situated at Thaiyur Revenue Village, Kelambakkam Post, Thirupporur Town and Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioners submitted a common representation to the respondents on 30.9.2024 seeking inclusion of their names in the revenue accounts of in respect of the properties comprised in Survey No.473 (Patta No.383), which were purchased by 1st petitioner's father one Mulavan. It is stated that 1st petitioner's father purchased an extent of 61 cents of agricultural land from one Bhima Munusamy vide sale deed registered as Document No.741/954 dated 24.07.1954 on the file of SubRegistrar, Thirupporur Town and Taluk, Chengalpattu District. Thereafter, 2/6
petitioner's father purchased another part of agricultural land measuring an extent of 61 cents in same survey number from Bhima Munusamy vide Document No.819/1957 dated 08.07.1957 on the file of Sub-Registrar, Thirupporur Town and Taluk, Chengalpattu District. It is under these circumstances, petitioners have filed the present writ petition.

At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate for respondents that it may be necessary for the petitioners to submit an online application for inclusion of names in the revenue accounts. He further submitted that if any such application is filed, the same would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed if it is otherwise in order, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of. It is open to the petitioners may take out an online application before appropriate authority. If any such application is filed, the appropriate respondent shall consider and pass appropriate orders, if it is otherwise in order, after issuing notice and affording the petitioners and other interested parties including rival claimants a reasonable opportunity of hearing. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any 3/6
views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
