This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to approve the proposal of appointment of the petitioner as B.T.Assistant in History in the third respondent school within a time frame fixed by this Court.
2. Heard Mr.B.Ravi, learned counsel for petitioner and Mrs.E.Ranganayaki, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he is a degree holder in English and History. He also possessed post graduation degree in English with diploma in Teacher's Education and B.Ed. A vacancy arose for the post of B.T.Assistant in History in the third respondent school. Since the petitioner possesses the necessary qualification, he applied for the said post and he was also appointed by the third respondent school. The third 2/4
respondent forwarded the proposal of appointment to the second respondent along with the appointment order. The second respondent, through communication dated 03.04.2024, raised certain queries and returned the file to the third respondent school. On receipt of the same, the third respondent school, through their representation dated 12.04.2024, answered each and every query that was raised by the second respondent along with all the relevant materials. The grievance of the petitioner is that the second respondent in spite of receiving the same has not granted any approval for appointment of the petitioner. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the representation dated 12.04.2024 submitted by the third respondent and take a decision regarding the grant of approval for appointment of the petitioner as B.T.Assistant in the third respondent school and convey the decision to the third respondent school within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
