Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to survey and earmark the land of the petitioner situated at Thulukannur Village, Attur Taluk, comprised in S.No.92/4 considering the petitioner's representation in Application No.2016/0105/08/006373 dated 04.06.2016.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner claims that her husband had settled the agricultural landed property admeasuring to an extent of 2 acres out of the total extent of 2.97 acres in S.No.92/4, Thulukannur Village, Attur Taluk, Salem District in her favour through the registered gift settlement bearing document no.2206 of 2004 dated 08.07.2004, registered on the file of the Office of the Sub Registrar, Attur and a civil litigation was also instituted by the son of the first wife of her husband in O.S.No.372 of 2009 on the file of the District Munsiff Court, Attur and it was dismissed on 19.06.2014 and no further appeal has been filed. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though she submitted an application on 04.06.2016 to the respondent for survey of the property by paying necessary fees etc., no response is forthcoming and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.V.Durai Solaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.
4.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/ representation dated 04.06.2016, in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the persons concerned and pass orders, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned.
