ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 28.09.2021 sent by the petitioner to remove his name from the history sheet No.32/1999 of Lawspet Police Station which has been mechanically maintained.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that except two cases which were registered in the year 2008 and 2010 respectively, no other cases were registered as against the petitioner; despite the same, the petitioner is added as a History Sheeter bearing No.32/1999; by adding the name of the petitioner in the History Sheet, the sixth respondent police is continuously harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry; in this regard the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents 1 to 6 on 28.09.2021; since the said representation was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's representation is available with the respondents and it will considered shortly.
5. Considering the submissions made, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.09.2021 and dispose the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
