By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the stage of admission itself.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Mandamus to direct the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 06.04.2016 seeking to include the petitioner name in the panel of eligible Forest Guard fit for promotion as Forester for the year 2013-2014, in the appropriate place in accordance with the Seniority as maintained till date and to promote him as Forester with all consequential service and monetary benefits.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Forest Watcher during 1995 on regular basis. The petitioner was further promoted as Forest Guard on 31.05.2004 and his seniority https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
was assigned as 187 and after rendering 13 years of service as Forest Guard the petitioner name was recommended for promotion to the post of Forester. However the petitioner was not given promotion till date. It is further submitted that the respondent herein had sought for the list of eligible Forest guard fit for promotion as Forester in which petitioner name was ought to be included, since he fulfill Rule 5 of the Forest Subordinate Service Rules. However, the petitioner was not promoted till date. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for empanelment and promotion to the post of Forester for year 2013.2014. Since, the same has not evoked any response, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.

Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court directs the respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.04.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. The petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the representation dated 06.04.2016, to the respondent along with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.
