The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20 (b) (ii) (B) Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 in Crime No.199 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were found in illegal possession of 1 kg and 200 Grams of Ganja. Hence, the Complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with the alleged offence. He would further submit that on the confession statement given by the co-accused, the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the Petitioner along with other accused were found in illegal possession of 1 Kg and 200 Grams of Ganja. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Though, this Court dismissed the anticipatory bail petition on previous occasion, the petitioner has failed to surrender before the Respondent Police. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with costs.
