Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to dispose of the application of the petitioner dated 16.04.2016 pursuant to eDistrict service Receipt Application No. 2016/ 0103/ 04/ 006699 for the grant of patta to the agricultural lands situate at Iyppedu Village Arakkonam Taluk Vellore.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner in the affidavit filed in support of this petition would aver among other things that his father had purchased various extent of agricultural both Nanja and Punja lands in Iyppedu Village and other neighbouring villages through a registered sale deeds bearing document Nos.1158/1981, 1913/1978, 1935/1985, 1296/1995, 255/1993 and 1646/1994 registered on the file of the office of Sub Registrar, Sholingapuram and claims to be that his father was in possession and enjoyment of the same and also was issued patta vide Patta No.535 by the second respondent. The petitioner would further state that her father was settled the property in his favour as well his brother, through a registered settlement deed bearing document No.2201 of 2013 dated 06.06.2013 on the file of the sub https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Registrar, Sholingapuram and for effecting transfer of patta representation/application was submitted on 16.04.2016 and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.Ravichandran Sundaresan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the second respondent to entertain the application dated 16.04.2016, if the papers are otherwise in order and then give a disposal in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned, and pass order within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
