ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, J.) The petitioner has sought for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records relating to the order of online rejection dated 23.07.2016 on the application of the petitioner dated 06.07.2016 on the file of the respondent, quash the same and direct the respondent to issue Panniandi Scheduled Caste community certificate to the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate taking notice on behalf of the respondent.

3. The petitioner claims to belong to Panniandi community, which is notified as Scheduled Caste and based upon the community certificate issued by the Tahsildar, Krishnagiri District on 29.9.2014 to his brother's son stating that he https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

belongs to Panniandi Scheduled Caste community, he had applied to the respondent on 6.7.2016 seeking for issuance of Panniandi Scheduled Caste community certificate by enclosing the relevant documents. On the ground that the said application has been rejected by the respondent authority without assigning any reason, he is before this Court.

In the light of the Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.147, Revenue (RA-3(2) Department dated 17.3.2016, since the petitioner has got a remedy of appeal as against the impugned order of rejection, we direct the petitioner to approach the appellate authority/Revenue Divisional Officer concerned with regard to the issuance of Panniandi Scheduled Caste community certificate within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and it is for the appellate authority/Revenue Divisional Officer concerned to take a decision in accordance with law within a further period of two months therefrom after affording opportunity to the petitioner. It is for the petitioner to furnish all the relevant documents before the appellate authority. With this direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, W.M.P.No.25647 of 2016 is closed. No costs.
