Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.04.2016 consequently direct the respondent to issue individual patta to the petitioner with respect to the property bearing S.No. 81/1 admeasuring 37 1/4 cents in Sathaonoor Village Kallakurichi Taluk.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims to have purchased a property in S.No.81/1 admeasuring to an extent of 37 1/4 cents in Sathaonoor Village, Kallakurichi Taluk, Villupuram District through a registered sale deed bearing document No.1730/69. The petitioner has submitted an application dated 05.04.2016 to the respondents praying for issuance of patta and also paid the necessary fees.
Since no response is forthcoming, the
petitioner has approached the office of the District Surveyor, Villupuram District, who in turn vide communication dated 12.04.2016, in O.Mu/U.E.Manu No.18/2016, directed the third respondent to conduct enquiry and inform the decision taken to the petitioner and despite such direction, no orders have been passed on the petitioner's application and hence, came forward to file this Writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of Mr.N.Subramani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 05.04.2016, in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned .
