16.02.2022 passed by the fourth respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to appoint the petitioner as Police Constable Grade II with all consequential monetary and other service attendant benefits on the basis of the petitioner's appeal dated 24.05.2025 and to take suitable action within a stipulated time fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

Mr.R.Sasikumar, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the order in Na.Ka.No.A5/766533/2020 dated 16.02.2022 passed by the fourth respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to appoint the petitioner as Police Constable Grade II with all consequential monetary and other service attendant benefits on the basis of the petitioner's appeal dated 24.05.2025 and to take suitable action within a stipulated time.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was disqualified for the post of Police Constable Grade II during the common recruitment 2020 on account of the suppression of certain criminal case. He would further submit that the petitioner has given appeal before the first respondent vide representation dated 24.05.2025 and the same was forwarded to the second respondent by the first respondent on 17.06.2025 and the said appeal is yet to be considered.
4.At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate would submit that the second respondent would consider the petitioner's representation/ appeal within a reasonable time. 5.In such view of the submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the second respondent to consider the above representation/ appeal of the petitioner upon its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
