Writ petition is filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to provide adequate police protection for ingress and egress of vehicles and people from in and out of the petitioner's Hotel premises and further vacate the trespassing workmen by ensuring that no striking workers assemble illegally in any form within the radius of 200 meters from petitioner's Hotel premises namely, 132, TTK Road, Alwarpet, Chennai 600 018 pursuant to the complaint of the petitioner dated 30.10.2021 submitted to the 1st respondent. The Writ Petition has been preferred seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to provide adequate police protection for ingress and egress of vehicles and people from in and out of the petitioner's Hotel premises and further vacate the trespassing workmen by ensuring that no striking workers assemble illegally in any form within the radius of 200 meters from petitioner's Hotel premises pursuant to the complaint of the petitioner, dated 30.10.2021.
2. Heard Mr.S.Haroon learned counsel appearing for Ms.T.S.Gopalan 2/4
and Co for the petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent and perused the materials available on record.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that as on date, there is no commotion or problem inside the premises of the petitioner and in this regard, an interim order had already been passed on 19.11.2021. The conciliation process is also said to be pending.
4. The conduct of the workmen, as on date, would show that they are abiding the order of the Court and started to observe peace and settle their dispute through conciliation. In such circumstance, there is no necessity for the petitioner to apprehend any illegal strike/demonstration in any near future. However, if any such illegal strike is sponsored and if there is any disturbance to the normal functions, it is open to the petitioner to approach the 1st respondent Police and file a fresh representation for seeking police protection.
