Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to refund the excess stamp duty and registration charges amounting to Rs.7,23,760/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Twenty Three Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Only) collected by the fourth respondent while registering Sale Deed dated 22.04.2024 registered as document Nos. 1715, 1716 and 1718 of 2024 in SRO, Cheyyur within a reasonable time frame.

With consent of both sides, this Writ Petition has been taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

This Writ Petition has been filed for directing the respondents to refund the excess stamp duty and registration charges amounting to Rs.7,23,760/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Twenty Three Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Only) collected by the fourth respondent while registering Sale Deed dated 22.04.2024 registered as document Nos. 1715, 1716 and 1718 of 2024 in Sub Registrar Office, Cheyyur within a time frame that may be 2/5

fixed by this Court.

3. In this issue, already dealt with by this Court, and now, the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India has granted an interim stay in SLP (Civil) Diary No. 30760 of 2024 and therefore, the request made by the petitioner cannot be considered at this stage. However, it is made clear that the petitioner is at liberty to approach the respondents, subject to the result of the said SLP (Civil) Diary No. 30760 of 2024.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
