By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner along with his minor brother R.Sandosh claims to be the owner of the landed property admeasuring to an extent of 0.78 cents in Punja S.No.70/3 B, Old S.No.58/4 situated in Melchettipattu Village, Keelchirupakkam Post, Thiruvannamalai, through a registered settlement deed dated 11.08.2015, registered on the file of the Joint Sub Registrar - II, Tiruvannamalai and he submitted an application dated 24.03.2016, to the first respondent praying for sub-division and transfer of patta and the first respondent has forwarded the same to the second respondent vide letter dated 26.04.2016, for appropriate action and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Mariappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4.This Court taking into consideration, the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the second respondent to act on the communication of the first respondent dated 26.04.2016 in
O.Mu.No.A3/3432/2016 and after putting on notice, the persons concerned, shall pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
