Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to issue the Free House site Patta to the petitioners under the Scheme of Scheduled Caste welfare in Kothantavadi Village Survey No. 83/ 3A Extend 0.43.0 Hectors and Survey No.84/9A Extent 0.19.5 Hectors total 0.62.5 Hectors in the Kothantavadi Village Keezhpennathur Post Thiruvannamalai District by considering the Petitioners common representation dated 10.8.2022. ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 4th respondent to issue the Free House site Patta to the petitioners under the Scheme of Scheduled Caste welfare in Kothantavadi Village Survey No. 83/ 3A Extend 0.43.0 Hectors and Survey No.84/9A Extent 0.19.5 3/6

Hectors total 0.62.5 Hectors in the Kothantavadi Village Keezhpennathur Post Thiruvannamalai District by considering the Petitioners common representation dated 10.8.2022.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that during the year 1996, the fifth respondent alloted the lands to the petitioners as per the process order in Na.Ka.No.1692/1992 dated 21.03.1996 at Kothantavadi Village vide Kothantavadi Survey Nos.83/3A, extent of 0.43.0 Hectors and S.No.84/9A, extent of 0.19.5 Hectors totalling to 0.62.5 Hectors. However, till date patta has not been issued in favour of the petitioners. Hence, the petitioners on 10.08.2022 submitted a common representation to the respondents in person for issuance of patta, till date no action has been taken. Hence, seeks direction of this Court for issuance of house patta to the petitioners.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. Considering the facts and cicrumstances of this case and having regard to the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 10.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits in accordance with law after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioners within a period of twelve 4/6

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
