ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondent Wakf Board to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 12.06.2024, within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.S.Jerald Lenin, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.Haja Mohideen Gisthi, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3.The case of the petitioner is that Mohamed Ali Thiruvasal Wakf is a registered Wakf under the supervision of the Wakf Board. However, the said Wakf is currently functioning without a Muthawali. As a result, it is alleged that there is misuse and administrative neglect. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a

3/5 representation dated 12.06.2024, before the respondent. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
